US Senator David Vitter hosted a town hall meeting in Crowley today and it had a great turnout.  Senator Vitter recently announced that he will run for governor of Louisiana in the next election, saying he could have a more positive impact in that position.

"It's an administrative role, an executive role, a lot more opportunity to do some exciting things here on the ground in the state, and I think we have great opportunities," says David Vitter, US Senator.

Vitter says two big topics he will be focusing on throughout his campaign is higher education and health care in our state.  He spent most of the meeting taking questions and listening to the concerns of citizens in the audience.
