Wade Lohse wanted after he walked out of his trial for vehicular homicide, claiming life of Lafayette mother Cacie Barras
LAFAYETTE, LA (KADN) — Today the US Marshals Violent Offender Task Force in Lafayette has joined with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office in the search for Wade Lohse, who is now considered a violent fugitive. Lohse walked out of court the opening day of his trial last Monday and has not been seen since. He is facing charges of Vehicular Homicide, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Simple Burglary. US Marshals Office says Lohse has a rap sheet dating all the way back to the eighties.
"He needs to do the right thing and turn himself in. You know, I don't know how a man like this sleeps at night, but if he's not going to turn himself in then that's why we're here. We're going to catch him," says Corey Britt, Deputy US Marshal in Lafayette.
The US Marshal's Fugitive Task Force believes that Lohse is now out of the state. They are making efforts to release his information on a national level. If you have information on Lohse's whereabouts contact the US Marshal's Fugitive Task Force at 337-319-4086 or 337-251-6921. All information will remain confidential and a cash award is available for information leading to Lohse's arrest.
