BAY ST. LOUIS, MISS — The dismembered body of a woman was found near the beach at Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
The body was discovered by a cleaning crew working on the beach. Officials with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office say the unidentified female was missing a head, arms, and legs. The body also had stab wounds in the chest area.
We're told the woman appears to have washed ashore, but detectives are not sure at this time whether the limbs were intentionally removed. They say the woman appears to be in her late teens or early twenties.
A representative with the Hancock County Sheriff's Office says they do not have any missing person's fitting that description on file. They urge anyone in neighboring areas with information on a missing female to contact the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
