Three Crowley men arrested on drug distribution charges

Three Crowley men have been arrested and charged with narcotics violations. The incident occurred in the area of Lovell and South Ave H in Crowley.

Narcotics agents working during the early evening hours of August 20th observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. Upon making the traffic stop, agents observed marijuana in plain view. “Once agents observed the marijuana in plain view, the occupants were arrested and the vehicle was searched. In all, three (3) bags of marijuana and a scale were located within the vehicle. Agents also confiscated just over $1,300 from the suspects” stated Chief KP Gibson.

Arrested were Dillian Stoute, 21 of Lafayette, Blakely John, 25 of Crowley and John Bourque, 30 of Crowley. All three men were charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana. Stoute was charged with traffic violations and Bourque was also charged with Monies Derived from Drug Proceeds. Bourque is currently on Parole and Stoute is on active probation. All three men have a history involving narcotics arrests.

“We are fighting a difficult battle against the illegal narcotics industry. However, our personnel is committed to this fight” stated Chief Gibson.
