A Texas man was hit by at least 5 cars after he crashed his vehicle in Shreveport. Officials say he was attempting to run across the Interstate when first struck.

It all started just after 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30. We’re told Curtis Bentley, 51, of Palestine, Texas, was driving his car down Jefferson Paige Road in Shreveport when he hit a series of curbs for unknown reasons. That caused his car to roll down an embankment. It stopped on the shoulder of I-220.

Once the vehicle was stopped, Bentley allegedly got out of his car and tried to run across a section of the Interstate. He was then hit by a minimum of 5 vehicles.

The crash is still under investigation. Investigators are working to understand what caused the initial crash, and to identify all of the vehicles that hit him.
