It's not too late to sign up, registration will be out tomorrow morning at 7 at Parc Sans Souci
LAFAYETTE (KADN) — Susan G. Komen of Acadiana's fifteenth annual Race for the Cure is tomorrow, and it's not too late to sign up! Because of the late Mardi Gras holiday registration has not been ideal, so there is still a chance to participate tomorrow and help support the cause. Race for the Cure is the organization's biggest fundraiser. Seventy-five percent of the money raised goes straight into our local community.
"We provide screening, education, treatment, support and then the other twenty-five percent goes to national research. That is finding the cures, improving medicine which all comes back and again makes a difference right here at home," says Michelle Voss, communications director for Susan G. Komen of Acadiana.
Registration will be at Parc Sans Souci at 7 am. The morning will start with a survivor's breakfast at Agave downtown, and then a parade march to the start line at 7:30 am. There will be team tailgate areas set up downtown, and many other opportunities to donate to the cause.
