The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Enforcement Team conducted several hours of surveillance that helped them arrest Trey Arvie, 29, of Opelousas.

Detectives began their surveillance operation after several anonymous calls tipped them off to possible illegal drug activity occurring at Arvie’s residence.

Police collected enough evidence from that investigation to indicate that Arvie was selling illegal drugs from his home.

Sheriff Guidroz reported that on Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Narcotics Team searched Arvie’s residence. Officers found 19 bottles of PCP and seized nearly $3K in cash obtained through illegal drug transactions. The street value of the PCP was approximately $6K.

Arvie is being held in the St. Landry Parish Jail facing charges of possession with intent to distribute schedule 1 CDS and transactions involving drug money.

His bond is set for $11,500.
