Sulphur woman arrested for abusing boyfriend's daughter

On April 3, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office receiving a complaint regarding Kandyse R. Sensat, 31, 4017 Wildflower Drive, Sulphur, physically abusing an 11 year old family member.

Detectives were advised following a recent argument with her live-in boyfriend, Sensat placed a blanket over the victim’s nose and mouth. Detectives also discovered on a previous occasion, Sensat struck the victim multiple times on her arm and leg and had slammed the victim’s head into a wall.

After further investigation, Sensat was arrested on April 8 and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2 counts of cruelty to a juvenile.

The victim was removed from the home and placed with family members.

Judge Clayton Davis set her bond at $100,000.
