Another Acadiana product is headed to the Beijing Olympics.

Erin Blanchard of Lafayette will become the first female trampolinist to represent the United States at the Games after being nominated to the U.S. Olympic trampoline team.

Her nomination is pending U.S. Olympic Committee approval.

Blanchard and the men's Olympic representative, Chris Estrada, trained at the Trampoline and Tumbling Express gym in Lafayette under coach Dmitri Poliaroush, the national team coordinator.
