ST. MARTINVILLE, LA (KADN) — A couple from St. Martinville died this weekend in a single-vehicle crash.

The Louisiana State Police reports that the crash happened on Saturday, Feb. 9 shortly before 10:30 p.m. We’re told Danny Boudreaux, 45, was driving on LA Hwy. 347 when he went off the road. The vehicle entered a ditch and overturned several times before striking a tree.

Boudreaux was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. His passenger, Tammy Boudreaux, 44, was wearing a seatbelt. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. A sample of Boudreaux’s blood was submitted to the State Police Crime lab for analysis.
