New reports of increased seismic activity on the sinkhole in Bayou Corne; that's according to Assumption Parish emergency officials.

They said a scientist reported the uptick in tremors Saturday afternoon. They described the sinkhole "burped" again. More hydrocarbons came up.

They say people could notice a gassy smell in the air, but the community is not in danger. There is a community meeting scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16.
