
SHREVEPORT, LA — A Shreveport business owner and another man are behind bars after they were allegedly caught in possession of synthetic marijuana Wednesday.
Agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force raided a house on the 1100 block of Gooseberry Hill and recovered more than 2,100 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana, about $14,410 cash, two handguns and two rifles.
Sami Alshawakia, 35, was arrested for possession of schedule I with intent to distribute and illegal carrying of weapons. He was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
During a search at the Corner Store on the 600 block of E. 70th Street in Shreveport, agents found around 380 grams of marijuana, about $1,265 cash and one handgun. Wisam Sabatah, 30, of Bossier City, was arrested for distribution of schedule I and was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
