Shotgun used in robbery of sandwich shop in Lafayette

Lafayette Police are seeking two men in connection with the robbery of a local sandwich shop.

The incident occurred Thursday night in the 200 block of Donlon around 7:00 p.m.

Police report that two black males entered the business wearing dark clothes, gloves, and bandanas over their faces.

One of the suspects wielded a shotgun and demanded money from the employees.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspects fled the scene, running toward Moss Street.

No employees were injured during the robbery.

Detectives ask that anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the suspects please contact Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
