On Tuesday Dec. 3, Scott residents in the 200 block of Des Jacques alerted police that three men armed with handguns and wearing masks were forcing their way into the residence.

By the time cops arrived, the suspects had fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Officers found a male victim with cuts on his face. The victim reported that he was repeatedly hit on the head with a firearm as the suspects demanded money.

During one of those blows, the gun discharged, causing damage to the residence.

The attack was committed in front of the victim’s girlfriend and 9-month-old son. The suspects had restrained the girlfriend with duct tape.

The suspects got away with the victim’s cash and credit cards.

Investigators were able to identify one of the suspects as Omar D. Washington of Rayne. Washington is currently being sought for felony charges of Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated criminal damage to property.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Washington or has any information about this crime, please contact the Scott Police Department at 233-3715 or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
