The accident happened on Cameron Street yesterday morning.
The good news is Gabriel Laverne, 11, is going to be okay.
Scott Police said Laverne was trying to cross the street but did not realize traffic was coming from a turning lane.
Laverne was hit by a Chevy truck and dragged about twelve feet.
The driver was not cited.
The child was treated and released from the hospital.
