Cane's location in Moore effected, hitting close to home
LAFAYETTE, LA (KADN) — The recent tornadoes that swept across Oklahoma and Texas hit close to home with Raising Canes. Their location in Moore, Oklahoma was effected as well as many of their crew members. Eager to help, Cane's was the first to respond opening their location back up and restoring power to serve thousands of free meals all week long to the community, supporters, and volunteers.
"Well, it's part of our founder's philosophy. We give back to our communities, we give back to our customers and it's just the "one love" philosophy," says Billy Mick, managing partner with Raising Canes.
And they didn't stop there, with nearly $23,000 in donations from customers and an additional $20,000 donation from Cane's, they raised nearly $43,000 for the Red Cross Disaster Relief.
