After weeks of practice the Ragin Cajuns hope all that hard work pays off when they take the field next week for their season opener.

Yesterday, the football program hit a new milestone.

 For the first time in history more than 10 thousand season tickets were sold and Cajun Fans aren't the only one's excited to get the season started.

Leader and quarterback Blaine Gautier says the team is ready for next week's opening.

The team takes the field for their home opener a week from tomorrow.
they will go head to head against the Lamar Cardinals at Cajun Field Saturday September first at 6:00.
