Police set parking restrictions for Festival International de Louisiane

The big Festival International de Louisiane is underway in Lafayette. Police have listed some parking restrictions you need to know before you head out for the music event.

The Lafayette Police Department will restrict parking along Jefferson Street through the duration of the festival beginning Wednesday, April 24 and continuing through Sunday, April 28.

There will be no parking available on Jefferson Street from 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. The restrictions include the areas between Lee Avenue and Main Street.

Additionally, on Thursday, April 25, there will be “no parking” on Jefferson Street from 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. between Johnston Street and Cypress Street.

Police remind festival-goers that it is illegal to carry glass containers in public and all animals must be on a leash.
