Planet Radio wants to overrun downtown Lafayette with ‘Harlem Shake’

The “Harlem Shake” is the latest social media-driven trend that sweeping the nation. Now, Planet Radio is asking everyone to come out and shake for the camera.

The filming will take place on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 11:00 a.m. in Parc Sans Souci in downtown Lafayette. Participants are encouraged to wear crazy costumes or bring props.

“To make this video amazing, we will need as many people to come out as possible to represent Lafayette – so all ages are welcome,” Planet Radio said about the event. “We also need your help to spread the word – so share this with everyone you know!”

If you don’t know what the “Harlem Shake” is, just head over to YouTube. It all started as a meme that went viral earlier this month. Most will be short, 30 seconds or less, but there are tons of examples.
