EUNICE, LA — Officers responded to the 800 block of North 2nd Street in reference to a large fight in progress. Officers arrived while some of the suspects were still on scene and others left before officers arrived.

Several people were injured during the fight and required an ambulance to transport them to the hospital. One individual in particular was jumped by several people and he received disfiguring injuries to his face and loss of sight in one eye from the fight and was finally released from the hospital after several days and another was knocked unconscious.

An investigation took place by on scene officers then by detectives who obtained warrants to arrest the individuals involved. Arrested so far this week are seven individuals from the incident on a host of charges:

Bailey Johnson, 18
Simple Battery

Matthew Ware, 19 (Presently Serving time on other charges)
Disturbing the Peace

Sandra Ware, 41
Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery

Javon Pembertonm, 35
Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery

Witnesses stated that Sandra Ware and Javon Pemberton were armed with metal pipes or metal rods. Bailey was tranported to the hospital by ambulance for head injuries. Pemberton was transported to the hospital by private vehicle for his injuries.
