Lafayette, La. (KADN) — One of the landmarks of the UL bar scene got some bad news today. The keg located on McKinley Street, in an area known as the strip, was handed the harshest of penalties by troy Hebert the alcohol and tobacco control commissioner. John Slaughter Jr. owner of the Keg has been banned for at least two years.
Today's administrative hearing against the keg came after a long history of problems and a December 13th raid that resulted in its fifth offense for the selling of alcohol to minors. Today's revocation of its license means John Slaughter Jr. and his family can have no involvement in the business for two years but would be able to facilitate the subleasing of the Keg.
