Narcotics detectives bust two men on multitude of drug charges
ST. MARY PARISH, LA — Two residents of St. Mary Parish have been arrested after a search of their home produced multiple types of illegal drugs.
On June 26, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated a home in Four Corners, LA.
During the course of the investigation, narcotics detectives located marijuana with an estimated street value of $5,250; crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $2,700; liquid codeine with an estimated street value of $105; Xanax pills with an estimated street value of $690; and other pills commonly referred to on the street as ‘mollies’ with an estimated street value of $380. Detectives also seized $3,034 in US currency, pending forfeiture. The investigation is ongoing.
Wendall Hines, 20, was charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Crack Cocaine With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule II (Codeine) With Intent to Distribute, Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds, Violation of Controlled Dangerous Substance Law (Drug Free Zone), Possession of Firearm in Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, two counts of Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Possession of a Firearm With an Obliterated Serial Number.
Christopher James Howard, 30, was charged with Possession of Schedule IV (Xanax) With Intent to Distribute, Prohibited acts; All Schedules (Doctor Shopping) and Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds.
