More Bubbles Reported In Grand Bayou
More bubbles have been reported in Grand Bayou.
It has been almost three months since the first bubble site was discovered in the neighboring Bayou Corne area.
Crews are continuing to monitor each site but people who live along the Bayou say they are not surprised to see more bubbles and are frustrated that they still do not have any answers about what's causing them.
As for the sinkhole cleanup around the area is still on hold but drilling through the caprock for an observation well is underway.
On Thursday people living in the evacuation area can apply for money from the Texas Brine Evacuee Assistance Fund.
Members of the Worley Catastrophe Response will be at the St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church hall starting at 9 AM.
A public meeting for people living in that area is set up for 6:30 Friday evening at the same church.
