Monster Jam drivers visited pediatric patients at Women's and Children's Hospital
Joey Parnell and Mark Hall helped lift the spirits of children in the hospital
Lafayette, LA (KADN) — Joey Parnell, the driver of Superman, and Mark Hall, the driver of Raminator, joined the patients at Womens and Childrens today to celebrate the crushing power of courage and confidence with the Monster Jam bead of courage. Children from the pediatric unit spent one-on-one time with Parnell and Hall as they created their Monster Jam thriller necklace, which included the monster jam bead of courage and eight other beads to inspire them through their challenging journey. Parnell and Hall talk about the best part of coming to visit with the pediatric patients.
"Seeing the kids and seeing their faces when we show up and give them stuff, because they don't get out very much. Hanging out with them really [is the best part about the visit]," says Joey Parnell, driver of Superman.
"I think it's kind of cool. I'll be honest I'm a hard-core racer and stuff, but I enjoy this. To be honest this is kind of one of the best parts about our job. The kids, their an important part of what we do. I think it's kind of cool," says Mark Hall, driver of Raminator.
The pediatric patients that sat down and met with the drivers' all had huge smiles on their faces.
