BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A Baton Rouge man was arrested for the alleged attempted murder of his girlfriend.

The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested Roderick Wells, 30, of Baton Rouge on Tuesday, Oct. 16 for allegedly shooting his live-in girlfriend last week at their home on Annette Street. The victim is currently in the hospital in critical condition.

Wells will be booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
