Lafayette, La. (KADN) — LUS Fiber , the city-owned telecommunications system, hosted "Fiber for Breakfast" this morning at the LITE Center. Specifically, how advances in technology are changing the way patients receive care from their doctors, from 3D imaging tools to mobile apps that help patients connect with their doctors. According to Terry Huval, Director of LUS, events like this help emphasize the initiatives that have placed Lafayette on the cutting edge of healthcare and technology. The event featured speakers from Lafayette General Medical Center, The Shumacher Group, and Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center and focused on how fiber has helped them connect with patients and doctors in more efficient and effective ways.
