LSU's Jalen Mills arrested on battery charges
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — LSU Corner Back Jalen Mills, 20, is accused of punching a woman in the mouth at an apartment complex on Highland Road in May. He was arrested by Baton Rouge Police and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison just after 2:00 Wednesday morning.
The victim told Baton Rouge Police Mills punched her in the mouth as she was walking away from him. She claims she fell to the ground, and required stitches as a result of the attack.
Mills is facing a Second Degree Battery charge, and is waiting for a bond hearing in the EBR Parish Prison.
Mills was selected as a 2012 Freshman All-American and was a 2012 SEC Freshman of the Week pick. He started his freshman season in all 13 games at cornerback. He is one of LSU's top pro prospects.
