LSU forced to evacuate due to bomb threat

Monday, September 17, 2012 - 9:44pm

Thousands of people had to evacuate LSU after a bomb threat was called in this morning.

So far police have been pretty tight lipped about this bomb scare but officials do know that the call came in around 10:30 this morning
and by 11:30 the evacuation orders were sent out.
Later this afternoon bomb sniffing dogs were sent in and by 2:30 officials say most people were gone.

This was not an easy process considering there were nearly thirty thousand people asked to evacuate.
Dalrymlple, Burbank, and Nicholson were all backed up for miles.
The backup lasted for most of the afternoon.
