Louisiana teen found dead after falling from 16th floor of Orange Beach condominiums
ORANGE BEACH, AL — A Louisiana teen was found dead in Orange Beach early this morning after he fell from the balcony of an apartment complex, officials say.
Challenge Talbot, 18, was found face down in the swimming pool at roughly 3:45 a.m. on Friday, July 19. Officials believe he fell from the 16th floor balcony of the Turquoise Place condominiums.
The Orange Beach Police Department is investigating, but at this time they do not suspect foul play.
Police Chief Billy Wilkins told reporters that they do not know whether the Thibodaux-native jumped or accidentally fell. They say there no witnesses have stepped forward with information. His body was found by a group of people who were walking in the area.
Talbot was reportedly staying at the building with friends.
Officials have submitted a sample of his blood for analysis. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
