Winnfield, La — Louisiana-based rapper Lil’ Snupe was shot and killed early this morning in Winnfield, La.
Officials confirmed that Addarren Ross, 18, was killed at roughly 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20. They say the incident happened at the Maplewood Apartments located on South Jones Street.
When officers arrived on scene they found Ross suffering from two gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are currently searching for a person of interest, however, they have not released a name at this time. They say the motive for the shooting has not been established.
The incident was leaked via social media due to a tweet from his manager. It said “The call I got this morning is un real RIP…”
The rapper got his big break in 2012 when he was signed to the label Dream Chasers Records by Meek Mill. He recently turned 18 on June 13. He’s originally from Jonesboro, La, which is located in Jackson Parish.
