Louisiana Librarians Association's 89th annual statewide conference comes to Lafayette
Network and discuss how to do more with less while facing low funding
LAFAYETE (KADN) — Lafayette is the host city this year for the 89th annual Louisiana Librarian Association's statewide conference. This conference gives librarians, from public to educational, a chance to come together, network, and share what they do.
"Funding is down in libraries, of course, so we're all trying to do more with less. To be able to share what we do and come up with new ideas just makes our libraries that much better," says Vivian McCain, president of LLA.
A ribbon cutting kicked off the exhibit part of the conference today, where vendors that deal with library products were on hand in one location for the librarians. The conference started yesterday with an award ceremony and will end tomorrow afternoon.
