With the November sixth election just around the corner candidates are beefing up their campaigning.

Locally one of the races heating up, is the newly redrawn 3rd Congressional District which covers much of Southwest Louisiana.

 The two main contenders are U.S. Representative Charles Boustany of Lafayette and U.S. Representative Jeff Landry of New Iberia.
Jim Stark and Bryan Barrilleaux from the Lake Charles area will also be on the ballot come November.
