Louisiana’s First Lady receives nod from Vanity Fair on Best Dressed list
BATON ROUGE, LA — Louisiana’s First Lady earned top honors for her sense of style and her husband turned to social media to express his approval.
“My wife made a ‘best-dressed’ list in Vanity Fair! Something I will never accomplish. Smart and beautiful woman,” tweeted Governor Bobby Jindal.
Supriya Jindal is listed in Vanity Fair’s 2013 Top 10 Best Dressed Political Wives list.
“As the youngest First Lady in the United States, Louisiana’s Supriya Jindal is less seasoned than some of her peers. Fortunately, her style is anything but amateur. When she appears at state functions, Governor Bobby Jindal’s better half slips into modern gowns, body-skimming suits, and lots of Republican-approved red,” Vanity Fair wrote.
Also included on the list are Diana Taylor (domestic partner of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Silda Spitzer), Silda Spitzer (wife of New York City comptroller candidate Eliot Spitzer), Jill Biden (wife of Vice President Joe Biden), Huma Abedin (wife of New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner), Cindy McCain (wife of senator John McCain), Ann Romney (wife of former presidential candidate Mitt Romney), Teresa Heinz (wife of U.S. secretary of state John Kerry), Anne Gust Brown (wife of California governor Jerry Brown), and Elizabeth Kucinich (wife of former U.S. congressman Dennis Kucinich).
