The world's largest casino company Harrah's Entertainment has changed its name to Caesars Entertainment.

On Wednesday at approximately 12:30 a.m., Lafayette police responded to the 100 block of Laura Street regarding an incident involving extortion.

On Saturday, November 20, 2010, the Lafayette Police Department’s Youth Services Section conducted an underage alcohol possession operation within the City of Lafayette.

Checkpoint nets 7 drunken drivers

During the course of the operation 895 vehicles passed through the checkpoint located in the 2300 block of Johnston Street. Of those vehicles, 17 drivers were stopped for secondary testing.
