Convenience store robbed at knifepoint

On September 21, 2010, at approximately 6:30 am, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to 1111 Mudd Avenue (Circle K) regarding an armed robbery. A black male suspect entered the store and approached the clerk with a knife.

Body found in river

The body of Bobby Lindsey was found around noon Wednesday in the Vermilion River. A resident reportedly saw the body along Seafood Lane in Lafayette while he was cutting grass.  

Rape reported near I-10 and North University Avenue

On September 8, 2010, at approximately 11:00 am, a 49 year old female victim from Colorado reported that she was attacked and raped near the intersection of North University Avenue and I-10.
