Suspects sought in robbery of Dollar Store

Lafayette police are investigating the robbery of a Dollar store that occurred in the 900 block of North University Avenue on Wednesday night around 10:00 p.m.

The Opelousas Police Department put a Lafayette man behind bars on Tuesday for selling Crystal Meth. Samuel Blake Guidry, 37, went to Opelousas with about 1.5 ounces of Crystal Meth in hopes of making a sale.

Woman robbed while going to see man she met on Facebook

Sheriff Ackal reports that officers responded to a robbery in the 700 Block of Mixon Street in New Iberia. Once on the scene, police discovered that a 28-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint when she arrived at the residence.
