Well Christmas is here and lots of presents have been opened, and odds are you will be heading back out this week to continue your holiday shopping. There is no doubt that the month leading up to Christmas is full of holiday shopping, but what about the day after?
“The day after Christmas is a very busy day for us here at Target and retail in general. As you see gift card sales grow as fast as they have over the past ten years, you see a lot of gift card redemptions that day,” explained Ed Bouley, Target Store Team Leader.

Those gift cards can help purchase whatever Santa may have forgotten. And what about that sweater Grandma gave you? Didn’t fit right, or not really your style? Odds are you will be among many other trying to make returns and exchanges. But whatever the case, the day after Christmas is sure to be another busy shopping day. “Christmas tends to extend beyond just one day like it did in the past,” Bouley added. Check your local newspaper because some stores will feature extended shopping hours the week after Christmas.
