Bus driver Daniel Gary was ticketed by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office for reckless operation on April 22.

Following school system policy, the driver has been placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated.

Allegedly, Gary drove around the crossing arms of railroad tracks on East Verot School Road. It was reported that the bus was transporting 30 children at the time.

Gary has been in the employ of LPSS since October 2004.

I think he should be arrested for endangering all of those children's lives!!!! He should also be fired!!!! I went to school to be a bus driver. That is a no-no to anyone driving!!!! A bus driver shouldn't even think about doing something so irresponsible!!! Had one of my children been on that bus I would be outraged!!!!
