Lafayette police are asking the public to be on the lookout of a suspect responsible for two armed robberies the past two nights.  The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, medium build wearing a dark colored hooded sweat shirt.  He approached the first victim Monday night at the 200 block of Lana Drive, and two victims last night at the apartment complex parking lot around the 100 block of Glouchester.  Both incidents he was armed with a handgun and fled on foot, but no victims were injured.

"We understand people are going to come and go from their residences, so we just ask that they be a little more aware of what's going on around.  Don't be distracted by your phone, texting or anything of that nature.  Have a plan of action and know when you get home that you're going to get safely inside and secure your door," says Corporal Paul Mouton, Lafayette police.

Police are canvasing the areas of the past two incidents as well as checking businesses around the area for surveillance.  The police are asking those in the area to call if you see anything suspicious.
