It is a sports landmark in Lafayette and thanks to the city and the Kiwanis club Clark field got a bit of a face lift.
Today, a ribbon cutting ceremony was a chance to showcase the upgrades which include brand new artifical turf.
The director of the Lafayette Parks and Recreation department
says thier partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Lafayette will extend beyond Clark Field.
The Clark Field renovation project cost 815 thousand dollars.
The money came from a grant and from the Kiwanis Club.
The field was completed just in time for area football games which kick off next week in Lafayette.
