Lafayette family receives closure to fatal shooting

Tonight a family has answers to a a fatal shooting back in August.
Thirty three year old Clement Amos from Lafayette was fatally shot on August 26th on Hummingbird Lane all while trying to help out a neighbor who called him because he was scared someone was breaking in.

Just this past Friday investigators with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office made an arrest.
Police say twenty eight year old Corlious Dyson of Opelousas is awaiting charges of second degree murder.
Investigators do not think Amos was the intended target of this crime
