Lafayette armed robber shoots victim in the leg

A person was shot during an armed robbery on December 16, around 8:45 in the 100 block of Paul Breaux Avenue. According to Police, the victim was walking on Paul Breaux Avenue when suddenly a gold four door vehicle drove up next to him. The victim said there were three men in the vehicle.

Two suspects got out of the vehicle and approached the victim with a handgun, demanding their money. The victim was shot in the right thigh, after they had surrendered their money. The suspects then fled the scene in the vehicle.

The three suspects are black males believed to be in their 20’s. Anyone with any information about the robbery or the identity of the suspects is encouraged to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
