Johnston Street reopened after crash
Lafayette (KADN) — UPDATE: Lafayette Police have reopened Johnston Street after a major crash in the 4500 block. The operator of the motorcycle involved in the crash is listed in critical condition in a Lafayette hospital. Lafayette Police are continuing their investigation.
Lafayette Police are on the scene of a major crash at the 4500 block of Johnston Street, that's near the Grand Marche Shopping Center in the area between Camellia Boulevard and Mt. Vernon Drive.
Lafayette Police say they've closed the road to all traffic, and they're detouring drivers to Ridge Road and Camellia Boulevard. A Lafayette Police spokesman says a motorcycle crashed into a truck exiting a private driveway onto Johnston Street.
The motorcycle driver was taken to a Lafayette hospital with serious injuries. No injuries were reported with the occupants of the truck.
Lafayette Police are continuing their investigation.
