BATON ROUGE, LA — As an expression of respect for the four sheriff’s deputies, Governor Bobby Jindal has issued that the flags of the State of Louisiana shall be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol and all public building and institutions of the State of Louisiana until sunset on Friday, August 17.

Two St. John the Baptist Parish sheriff's deputies were killed in the line of duty in shootings early Thursday morning in LaPlace, and two others were injured in the shootings and are undergoing treatment;

Louisiana State Police will be working in conjunction with other neighboring law enforcement agencies to fully investigate this incident and assist the community during this difficult time.
