Home invasion suspects attempt to out run deputies
IBERIA PARISH, LA — Deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects believed to be responsible for a home invasion.
The arrest was made on Thursday, Sept. 6 at around 12:30 a.m. Deputies responded to the 400 Block of Charles Street in reference to a disturbance called in by the female victim.
The victim advised that she was in her residence she heard a loud noise coming from her living room. As she entered the room she was confronted by two black males. The victim advised she was able to flee from the suspects and lock herself in her bedroom. She stated the suspects attempted to enter her bedroom, but were unsuccessful. The two suspects fled on foot from the residence.
A search of the area was conducted and deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office located two males matching the description. The two males fled on foot as deputies approached them, but were apprehended in the area of Bank Street.
Through further investigation deputies were able to determine that one of the suspects was involved in the home invasion. Antonio Olivier, 22, was arrested and charged with Home Invasion, Simple Battery, Obstructing a Public Passage and Resisting an Officer.
Keevan Daniels, 22, was charged with Resisting an Officer and Obstructing a Public Passage. Deputies so far could not prove Daniels was involved in the home invasion. However, the case is still under investigation.
Both suspects were transported to the Iberia Parish Jail where they were booked in.
