A traffic stop led to a drug arrest late sunday night in Tangipahoa Parish.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., deputies with the Tangipahoa Sheriff's Office noticed a grey colored Kia Passet parked westbound in the eastbound lane on T. Hardy Rd. with its lights out.

When deputies approached the vehicle, they found a single occupant, later identified as Michael Lefevre, 49.

Immediately, deputies could smell marijuana coming from Lefevre’s car. The man exited his vehicle and could barely stand up. Lefevre was taken into custody at this time.

Upon searching the vehicle, numerous amounts of contraband drug paraphernalia, marijuana and illegal prescription narcotics were found.
