A former resident of Calcasieu Parish has been arrested on incest charges.

On February 6, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding Carl W. Lewis, 61, formerly of Moss Bluff (currently living in Gonzales), having inappropriate sexual contact with a female family member on numerous occasions.

These incidents began in 1995, when the victim was only 12-years-old.

Lewis lived in Moss Bluff at the time of the incidents.

When questioned by detectives, Lewis confirmed some of the allegations. Lewis was arrested on February 21 and booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with two counts of Aggravated Incest. His bond is set at $35,000.
