Former congressman Jeff Landry announcing to run for Attorney General of Louisiana in next election
Feels his legal, pro-business background will be huge asset in Attorney General position
Lafayette (KADN) — Former congressman and practicing attorney Jeff Landry has announced that he will be seeking the office of Louisiana's next Attorney General. Landry says over the last three years he has been able to see problems in our country from a different perspective, and has recognized that in order to make changes and affect peoples' lives this position is the best to be in.
"I just think that at the end of the day we can do better here in Louisiana. If you look at those states that are leading both economically and in the quality of life that they offer to their citizens, you'll find that they're run by proactive, pro-business Attorney Generals. I want to take my business background and my legal background and combine that to serve the citizens of Louisiana," says Jeff Landry, candidate for next Attorney General of Louisiana.
The election will be held in the fall of 2015, and so far Jeff Landry will be running against incumbent Attorney General Buddy Caldwell. Landry is in the first steps of this campaign raising resources necessary to put the campaign together. He will start to travel around the state listening to voters input, calling himself an advocate for the citizens of Louisiana.
