NEW ORLEANS, LA — Former “Bachelor” contestant Gia Allemand, 29, died following an apparent suicide attempt, according to CNN. She was treated at the University Hospital in New Orleans.
Allemand was admitted on Monday, Aug. 12 after her longtime boyfriend Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelicans found her unconscious in her home located in New Orleans. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and was placed on life support.
The family said the model and reality TV personality was taken off life support Wednesday and she died "peacefully with her mother, boyfriend and other lifelong friends by her side."
