Festival of Lights kicks off Acadiana's Christmas
New and Improved
Lafayette, LA (KADN) — Acadiana's annual Festival of Light at the Oil Center on Coolidge Road Friday night kicked off this year's Christmas season in Lafayette.
Lafayette once again welcomed the lighting of Santa Clause and his sleigh atop the Lafayette General Medical Center boardwalk. The iconic Christmas lights have become a classic reminder of the Christams season for Acadiana. The festival was free admission with ticketed events, food and drinks. With different booths offering different things, the festival was fun for the whole family. The singing, dancing, and people was a sure way to get the Christmas season fired up and in full swing. This year's festival was extra special because it received it's first makeover in nineteen years with the help of local companies Schlumberger, the Lemoine Company, Associated Design Group, and Ernest P Breaux Electrical.
